[Laugh hard; Die trying | Gaijin edition has been announced]
As many of you know, particularly fans of the Japanese culture that have delved into the depths of Japanese television, this is well known broadcast that goes by the name of Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! Downtown’s “Not An Errand Boy!”. It is a Japanese variety show hosted by two incredibly funny people, Hitoshi Matsumoto (Matsumoto Hitoshi) and Masatoshi Hamada (Hamada Masatoshi). The extremely influential comedy show was first broadcasted on October 3, 1989.
The show is broken up into different segments and when it comes to having a different theme to each episode, there are then different batsu games (punishment games) to be played.
One well known batsu game that is slowly starting to choke people around the net is Silent Library. In this segment, the cast and a sixth member are in a staged library in which one of them has to undergo a punishment upon choosing the card with the skull and crossbones on it. Although the game requires that they remain silent during the entire segment, the members repeatedly let out bursts of muffled laughter that is loud enough for the occupants of the library to hear.
This is one of the first games we will be redoing but in an actual library! We introduce to you!

We are filming the week of finals and have to setup and finalize the props needed. It’s going to be one exciting event! Stay tuned for more information!
